Services

Services

Two focus areas: due diligence in companies and international law analysis.

I help companies identify and prevent human rights violations in their supply chains, and I advise states and organisations on implementing international law.

§ 01

Human rights due diligence (Due Diligence)

Who it is for

Companies with obligations under the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) or the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). And suppliers whose customers require this due diligence.

Typical questions

  • What risks exist in our supply chain, and which matter most?
  • What are we still missing to meet the requirements of the LkSG and the CSDDD?
  • How do we set up a grievance mechanism that is actually used?

Services and deliverables

  • Risk analysisYou receive a documented risk report setting out the main risks and their priority.
  • Preventive measuresYou receive a draft policy statement and an action plan with responsibilities.
  • Remediation and grievance mechanismYou receive rules of procedure for the grievance mechanism and a process for remedial action.
  • Reporting (LkSG, CSDDD, CSRD)You receive a structured draft report based on your documentation.
  • Monitoring under the EU Forced Labour RegulationYou receive an overview of suppliers and products with elevated risk, and a review procedure.
  • Business in conflict regions and sanctionsYou receive an analysis of the situation on the ground and concrete steps for enhanced due diligence.

From practice

Examples from my previous professional work.

    Result

  • Example 2

    Situation
Under the LkSG, the company needed its own grievance mechanism for people in the supply chain.
    Services provided
Rules of procedure drafted, grievance mechanism introduced, incoming complaints reviewed and handled.
    Result
A functioning grievance mechanism with clear steps, from review through remediation to follow-up, and a report to senior management on complaints and remedial measures.
